We went there today for a breakfast sandwich but ended up with a Hot Patrami and a Bacon, Turkey and Avocado and of course the cream filled donuts. We get home and open the box, this pastrami and provolone has huge. See the pics. This sandwich was delicious. Mary's you are back in rotation!!!! I also saw they have açaí bowls which I'll definitely get next time. As always everyone was so friendly. Big outdoor patio and plenty of parking in the back lot. Donuts so good if you get a French cruller right from the oven 5 stars 4 stars after sitting out a bit! Turkey sandwich $ way expensive 17.00 plus tax & 3.% fee if using a cc. This is LAKESIDE not LA JOLLA I buy sandwiches often throughout the county for these prices you get 2 sides & a pickle however in La Jolla & Bankers Hill my sandwiches still are 11.00-13.00 no service fees

As an apprentice when you make a mistake your penance is doughnuts the next day for the crew and Mary's always smooths any ruffled feathers (I've ruffled them all ) thanks for all the (many) doughnuts I'll be in again soon (probably)

Excellent! Great for your everyday donut stop but I've also ordered custom donut holes to match the colors of party's, as well as recently trying a sandwich with their new 'deli'. Oh my goodness I wish I had taken a picture for y'all but if you like and egg salad sandwich-- this is a place you MUST try. Soooo good and made with such beauty and care. Thank you Mary's!

While the jelly filled donuts are good. The other donut place my brother likes to go to actually puts more filling inside the donuts. And while Mary's seems to have a larger variety, I think I'll stick with the other donut store. One of the other issues with Mary's is trying to find a parking spot and depending on the time of day, that part is really inconvenient. Don't get me wrong, these donuts are good and if you're close by just go ahead and go to Mary's.

Extremely polite staff. Donuts and sandwiches are worth the detour. They have a sweet patio out back for folks to enjoy the yummies immediately.

I've been coming to Mary's donuts since 2012 back at their old location in Santee. It's really great that they have branched out and have a store in Lakeside now. Parking is a little weird. They have a lot in the back but if you're lucky you can get a spot on the street I saw they have deli and breakfast lunch menus so I'll have to stop in and try them. Donut case is always impressive on what they offer but I usually stick through my usual order of a maple bar. I decided to get an apple, fritter and man are they ginormous! Honestly, the size of your face and they taste so good! The service is so quick I waited, probably less than a minute before I was helped by one of the employees. I've been to the Santee location at 2 AM and they're always still so nice and welcoming despite the odd hours. Makes me happy to support them throughout all these years and see them expand and grow! Keep on going!

Doughnut Wonderland Extravaganza! Mary's Donut - where donuts meet destiny! The place is so welcoming; I half-expected a donut-shaped red carpet to roll out. The back patio is like the VIP section for donut enthusiasts - donut disturb, we're munching! We tried the maple bar with bacon bits, and it was like breakfast and a party in my mouth simultaneously. The apple fritter was so divine; I'm convinced it's a gift from the donut gods. But hold your taste buds, because we also tackled the Ruben sandwich - it's not a sandwich; it's a delicious wrestling match with your appetite, and the appetite loses. Massive, messy, and marvelous! The food is a steal, the staff is friendlier than a doughnut with a smiley face, and those donuts? They're the real MVPs. Highly recommend - it's like a doughnut hug for your soul!
